প্রথম 25% জিনিসের উপর 10% লাভ =  25  ×  10%  =  2.5
এবং বাকি 75% জিনিসের উপর loss 20%।
অর্থাৎ 75  ×  20%  =  15
সুতরাং সার্বিক loss হয় (15.2.5)  =  12.5%।
